Terms of service
Last updated July 10, 2026
Plain English — what you agree to when you use BraidAppt. If something here doesn't match how the product actually works, the product wins — but we'll always try to keep this page honest and readable.
The short version
BraidAppt helps braiders run booking pages and helps clients find and book them. Braiders pay a subscription after a free trial; clients use the platform for free. You agree to be respectful, follow the law, and understand that each braider sets their own appointment rules.
Who these terms apply to
- Braiders — stylists who create a business profile, list services, and accept bookings.
- Clients — people who search the directory, book appointments, message braiders, or leave reviews.
- Visitors — anyone browsing public pages without an account.
By using BraidAppt, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
Accounts
- You must provide accurate information when you sign up.
- Keep your password private. You're responsible for activity on your account.
- One person should not share login access in ways that break another user's trust.
- We may suspend or close accounts that abuse the platform, harass others, or break these terms.
Braider subscriptions
Braiders get a 60-day free trial, then $30/month unless pricing changes (we'll update this page if it does). Subscription billing is handled by Stripe.
- You can pause or cancel from your dashboard settings.
- Fees are for use of BraidAppt tools — not for guaranteeing bookings or income.
- Refunds follow our billing policies and applicable law; contact support with questions.
Clients book for free
Clients do not pay BraidAppt a platform fee to search, book, or message. You pay your braider directly for services, deposits, and tips according to their page and checkout flow.
Bookings, deposits & cancellations
BraidAppt provides scheduling and payment tools. The actual appointment is between you and the braider. Each braider posts their own cancellation policy and booking guidelines — you agree to those at checkout.
- Deposits may be refundable or non-refundable based on the braider's stated policy.
- No-shows, late arrivals, and rescheduling are handled per that braider's rules.
- Disputes about service quality or refunds should be resolved with the braider first.
Reviews & public content
Clients may leave recommendations and reviews. Braiders control much of what appears on their public profile. Don't post false, harassing, or hateful content. We may remove material that violates these terms or hurts other users.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Harass, threaten, or discriminate against anyone on or through BraidAppt.
- Impersonate another person or business.
- Scrape, spam, or attempt to break into our systems.
- Use the platform for illegal services or fraud.
- Circumvent blocks, bans, or another user's clear request to be left alone.
Our role
BraidAppt is a platform — we are not the employer of braiders and we are not a party to the hair service you receive. We don't guarantee that any braider will be available, that a slot won't be cancelled, or that every interaction will go perfectly. We work to keep the product reliable and secure.
Disclaimer & limitation of liability
The site is provided “as is” to the fullest extent allowed by law. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of BraidAppt, a braider's services, or third-party tools like Stripe. Our total liability for any claim related to the platform is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim (or $30 if you're a client who paid nothing).
Changes
We may update these terms as BraidAppt grows. We'll change the date at the top of this page. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
